As one of the world's top exhibition organizers, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH saw great business opportunities in China during the period of 'Reform and Opening Up'. In 1999, Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as MDC) was established in Hong Kong, committed to helping Chinese companies to attend overseas trade fairs and establish business relationships with global partners.
In 2009, in order to expand its business in China mainland, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH set up a subsidiary in Shanghai — Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as MDS), with a branch office in Beijing. At present, the company has more than 60 experienced employees, providing all-round service for overseas enterprises to expand their market share by participating in the exhibitions held in China.
